When we put our two little peanuts next to Ash's tummy it's hard to believe that they were actually living in there a month ago.
Let's see we went to the Doc yesterday and Finn was tipping the scales at 6 lbs 6.5 oz and Sophie was 5lbs 12oz. We are so happy with their growth and they are almost on the baby growth charts. One more month and we can get some vaccines in them to protect their tiny bodies. It is crazy how much different a pound makes. You can just feel how much bigger Finn is than Sophie....Again thanks to everyone that has been bringing us comida!!!!!!!

Finn

Staying on top of things with these two little guys can be a challenge, so today was Finn's turn to get a bath and some pictures. We usually can get about 2-3 hours of sleep in between feedings and changes through out the night.....but they are both doing well and gaining weight. We pretty much don't have anything else to talk about since we just stay home a take care of the babies...oh yeah I went to Costco today, and I made Ash get out of the house and take the dog on a walk around the block. Finn and Sophie mostly slept, ate and went potty. :)

WE'RE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So after 18 long long days in the NICU, we are home and we hope we never have to go back...by the end we had made some good friends with some of the nurses and it was nice to have Kay Amussen there to keep an eye on our little guys, but we are so happy to be home. Sophie and Finn love being home and with their Mommy and Daddy all day (they told me) We can't wait for everyone to meet our little guys, but the Doctors gave us strict rules about visitors, so for now we will have to wait to have visitors, probably for a few weeks. No little kids under 12 for 3 months, and we can't really take them anywhere, but we don't care we are just happy they are here with us.

So Sophie and Finn came home a few days ago, and they are a lot of work, but so much fun, and they love that they can FINALLY be together again. Just as everyone told us we are not getting much sleep, and we have our hands full. I am a little afraid to go back to work and be gone...Good thing Ash is on top of things, because I know I never could do it all alone.

BATH TIME

It has now been 2 weeks since our tiny little guys got here... Unfortunately they still are in the NICU, but doing better everyday. The Docs will not give us a time frame as to when we get to take them home....which i should add totally sucks. We now go to the hospital 3 times a day for about 3-4 hours each visit.... needless to say we hope we don't have to go back any time soon once we get our babies home. The other day we were able to give them both their first bath... woohoo anytime we get to take them off all their leads and cords we are excited. After we bathed Sophie we put them together for the first time since the womb, and let me let you it was so much fun. Sophie loved it!!! she snuggled right up to Finn, and after he sneezed on her a few times and tried chewing on her head he warmed up to her....they are too cute. It is amazing how different they are. Each day they progress a little, and have not taken any steps backward. Ash is doing better as well, but breast feeding to babies is a huge chore with two babies, and it doesn't help to have to travel to the hospital to do it. It is very taxing, but well worth it.

No more nights in the hospital

Well the finally made us go home from the hospital. After the 4 nights Ash was allowed in the hospital to recover from her C-section we were able to do a "hotel" stay for three more nights so we could be close to our babies. Last night was our first night that we had to come home. It is terrible coming home after having babies born and not being able to take them with you. Ahhhhh it sucks. We just want them here with us. The only positive is that Ash is able to recover physically a little better. So we wake up and go to the hospital to see out little guys. They are doing better everyday. Hopefully they will be able to come home in a week or two instead of six. Thanks to everyone who was called and visited us. We love you all
